Privacy * SUBJECT: Information according to article 13 of legislative decree 30th June 2003, no. 196 PREAMBLE 1. The legislative decree mentioned above governs the confidentiality of personal data and imposes a number of obligations on people/bodies dealing with the information concerning other individuals. The obligations include a) informing the person concerned about the use of the information concerning them, b) asking for their consent for the execution of the activities related to the use of said information. 2. The law mentioned above considers “treatment” of data the following activities: collecting, recording, organising, storing, processing, changing, selecting, extracting, comparing, using, interconnecting, blocking, deleting and destroying information. AIMS AND PROCEDURES OF DATA PROCESSING 3. Concerning the data you supplied when accessing our website and complying to the rules there mentioned we would like to inform you that: a) the data concerning you (which we will ask you for through the web) are necessary if you wish to receive the newsletter reporting all the news and new commercial activities of CIS and its activities as institution, and if you wish to receive the services you requested and that are supplied by the CIS web portal; b) personal data will be processed on magnetic support material and on paper by specifically authorised staff. They will be trained for that purpose, their identities known, and they will be taught the obligations linked with Lgs. D. 196/03. Appropriate safety measures will be taken to ensure the confidentiality of the concerned subject. Access by unauthorised staff or third parties will not be permitted. c) data will be protected – with the appropriate safety measures – during maintenance procedures and servicing of IT equipment and revision of processing methods. SPREADING 4. PROVISION OF PERSONAL DATA 5. Personal data are required to send the newsletter and supply the website services. The person concerned has the right to object to, totally or partly: a) treatment of his/her personal data, for legitimate reasons, even if relevant to the purpose the data was collected for; b) to treatment of his/her personal data for the purposes related to advertisements, sales offers, market surveys or commercial communications.
