Privacy * SUBJECT: Information according to article 13 of legislative decree 30th June 2003, no. 196 PREAMBLE 1. The legislative decree mentioned above governs the confidentiality of personal data and imposes a number of obligations on people/bodies dealing with the information concerning other individuals. The obligations include a) informing the person concerned about the use of the information concerning them, b) asking for their consent for the execution of the activities related to the use of said information. 2. The law mentioned above considers “treatment” of data the following activities: collecting, recording, organising, storing, processing, changing, selecting, extracting, comparing, using, interconnecting, blocking, deleting and destroying information. AIMS AND PROCEDURES OF DATA PROCESSING 3. Concerning the data you supplied when accessing our website and complying to the rules there mentioned we would like to inform you that: a) the data concerning you (which we will ask you for through the web) are necessary if you wish to receive the newsletter reporting all the news and new commercial activities of CIS and its activities as institution, and if you wish to receive the services you requested and that are supplied by the CIS web portal; b) personal data will be processed on magnetic support material and on paper by specifically authorised staff. They will be trained for that purpose, their identities known, and they will be taught the obligations linked with Lgs. D. 196/03. Appropriate safety measures will be taken to ensure the confidentiality of the concerned subject. Access by unauthorised staff or third parties will not be permitted. c) data will be protected – with the appropriate safety measures – during maintenance procedures and servicing of IT equipment and revision of processing methods. SPREADING 4. Treatment of data for the purposes listed in paragraph a) of paragraph 3 include communicating, and sometimes spreading, the stored data to third subjects such as public and/or private companies or firms of any type and working in any sector companies managing the Nascar S.r.l web portal other companies, in Italy and abroad (in and out of the E.E.C.). PROVISION OF PERSONAL DATA 5. Personal data are required to send the newsletter and supply the website services. You are under no obligation to supply your data but the refusal to do so and not agreeing to processing of data as listed in point 2 of this communication (processing is required for the various services) will not allow us to send the newsletter and provide the website’s services. D. 196/03, the subject(s) with specific obligations and responsabilities concerning the treatment of personal data must be identified. RIGHTS OF THE PERSON CONCERNED 7. To allow you to fully understand your rights concerning the issue of treatment of personal data we have attached a copy of article 7 of Lgs. D. 196/03 - extract - article 7 – Right to access personal data and other rights 1. The person concerned has the right to receive a confirmation that personal data concerning him/her exist, even if they have not been registered yet, and said data must be communicated in an understandable way. 2. The person concerned has the right to have the following information: a) origin of personal data; b) purposes and methods of data treatment; c) criteria applied if data are processed with information technology; d) about the holder, the manager and the appointed representative according to article 5, paragraph 2; e) about the subjects or categories of subjects which may be given the data or become acquainted with it as appointed representative in Italy, managers or appointed officers. 3. The person concerned has the right to obtain: a) updating, correction or, if it is to his/her advantage, integration of data; b) deletion, transformation to anonymous data or blocking of treated data if the treatment breaks the law, including cases where storage of data is not required for the purposes it was requested or treated; c) a certificate stating that the people/subjects who have been given the data have been informed of the operations listed in points a) and b) (including content of data), with the exception of cases where said obligation is impossible or requires such means that the defence of the right is not justified. 4. The person concerned has the right to object to, totally or partly: a) treatment of his/her personal data, for legitimate reasons, even if relevant to the purpose the data was collected for; b) to treatment of his/her personal data for the purposes related to advertisements, sales offers, market surveys or commercial communications.
